Charlotte, NC – (September 26, 2019) – The NASCAR Xfinity Series prepares for the final road course event of the year at the Charlotte Motor Speedway’s ROVAL configuration. The 28th event of the 2019 season will be 67 laps on the 2.28 mile, 17-turn combination infield road course and speedway high bank corners.
Two teams will run for Brandonbilt Motorsports: the #68 Mid Atlantic Wrecker Service Chevrolet Camaro driven by Brandon Brown and the #86 Kelly Benefit Services Chevrolet Camaro driven by Will Rodgers. Both drivers will be making their ROVAL debuts and are excited about getting on track.
“I am looking forward to having a chance at redemption on a road course this weekend. I feel that after Watkins Glenn our road course luck has run out. This year I feel has been a very strong year for myself and BMS. We have had a string of weeks with mechanical failures, driver errors and team errors that we are looking to change and learn from so that we do not repeat ourselves.”
“The ROVAL is such an exciting event that I have been looking forward to. I have never run that track configuration but I am looking forward to the challenges. Running the 68 this weekend and having Will Rodgers as a teammate will be beneficial to the outcome of our performance I believe. The track on the simulator with the updated backstretch was a challenge to learn but I am excited to tackle the challenge. I hope to walk away victorious.”
Goodyear is bringing a new tire this weekend that is better able to handle the front end loads caused by hard braking and is yet able to provide rear-end grip as the cars accelerate out of the corners.
