RICHMOND, VA (April 11, 2019) – Brandonbilt Motorsports (BMS) heads to Richmond Raceway for Round 8 of 33 in 2019 but with a new name and face behind the wheel. Mason Diaz, the first developmental driver for BMS will make his return to the Xfinity Series for the first time since last September when he debuted at the 0.75 mile facility. Mason is currently competing for the NASCAR K&N Series East Rookie of the Year and Points Championships. Mason brings on board Solid Rock Carriers, Prince William Marina and Dominion Raceway as partners with BMS.

Mason was asked how his experience in the similar bodied K&N cars would help him in his first Xfinity Series start in 2019, he said “…The cars are very similar when it comes to weighing more than (his usual) Super Late Models. Racing the first two races of the series I have now gained a lot more experience with radial tires which will help me a lot because it is a big difference from the Hoosiers.” Mason finished 19th in his NASCAR Xfinity Series debut and working with experienced Crew Chief Adam Brenner the team’s goals only expand. BMS currently sits 16th in the NASCAR Xfinity Series Owners Standings.
